This applies to our hands, just as it does to our face and body. These effects intensify over time, leading to sagging, wrinkles, and spots on the skin of the hands. All these are signs of skin aging in the hands. As these signs progress, hand veins also become more prominent. When such issues arise, hand aesthetics becomes relevant.

To delay this skin aging, ladies used to protect their hands from the sun’s rays by wearing beautiful, elegant gloves. However, since this habit has disappeared today, our hands are now exposed to sunlight as much as our faces.

What should be the treatment for hand aging?

There are different treatment methods for hand aging, depending on its specific characteristics (wrinkles, sagging, spots). These can be applied individually or in combination, as needed.

If only the subcutaneous fat tissue has diminished; it is possible to fill the voids in this area and reduce the prominence of veins by supplementing the hands with fat tissue. The stem cells within the fat tissue can also rejuvenate the skin, strengthening its collagen structure.

If there is an increase in wrinkles on the hands; in addition to fat tissue, it is possible to reduce these wrinkles and reinforce collagen by applying Fraxel Laser to the hands. This is because Fraxel Laser has the property of correcting collagen tissue and repairing sun-induced damage beneath the skin.

If there is excessive sagging in the hands; Thermage can also be applied here for tightening. This means that radiofrequency waves can firm up the loose tissue in the area.

If spots have appeared on the skin; their treatment is also possible with laser. However, in this case, the spots can be removed with devices such as Med-Lite, which we call a spot laser. This laser application may require 1 to 4 treatment sessions depending on the depth of the spot.

In summary, just as with our entire body and face, protecting our hands from the sun’s rays, promptly supplementing subcutaneous fat tissue if it diminishes, and undergoing Fraxel, Thermage, or spot laser treatments if necessary, are the tools we have to prevent hand aging.

Over time, with advancing age and external factors, especially ultraviolet rays, both subcutaneous fat tissue decreases and the collagen structure begins to weaken.
