ONEP Plastic Surgery Science Institute

ONEP Plastic Surgery Science Institute was founded in 1981. It consists of a group of highly qualified, expert plastic surgeons. This excellent collaboration of specialists and the ability to provide the highest quality of care has provided ONEP with its deserved reputation as a safe clinic where patients receive exceptional care. An immense interest from patients has resulted in the rapid growth of the clinic.

In April 1996, ONEP moved to its current location in Levent, Istanbul. This expansion has enabled the physicians of ONEP to better serve patients and evaluate their requirements and needs for surgery in a modern clinic of over 1200m2. With the assistance of state of the art equipment and high technology of the clinic, surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. This means patients are able to have procedures that do not require an overnight stay in the hospital. With the help of technology, patients are able to recuperate in the comfort of their own home within hours after surgery is complete. For example, rhinoplasty, face lift, liposuction and many other procedures are completed and the patient is discharged a few hours after their procedure.

With the use of Mirror Image technology, ONEP physicians are able to plan and discuss a procedure with a patient and show them what the outcome of a surgery may look like via computer. This also allows a patient to see and compare the difference in pre-operative and simulated post-operative results before the surgery actually occurs. ONEP has a special program for children with cleft lip, cleft palate and other maxillo-craniofacial conditions. A group of expert physicians consisting of plastic surgeons, orthodontists, pediatricians, neurosurgeons, speech therapists and psychologists meet to discuss and implement the proper procedures required to correct the conditions of these children.

In addition to these clinical activities, ONEP’s physicians participate in many prominent scientific and educational activities. Routinely, these physicians attend and participate in several international seminars and meetings where they give many scientific presentations in addition to their publications in various international medical journals.

ONEP also provides a post education fellowship program to many new, qualified Turkish Plastic Surgeons. Since beginning this program, the Institute has accepted over 33 plastic surgeons into this program. The terms of this program are for six months or 12 months. ONEP continues to carry the specialty of plastic surgery in Turkey to the highest level possible by educating two specialists in every term. Placing a great deal of importance on education in the field of plastic surgery, ONEP organizes many activities that are designed to educate and encourage new physicians in the field of plastic surgery.
