ONEP: Since 1981A Forty-Five-Year Story of a Vision
Özel ONEP Medical Center was founded in Ankara in 1981 by Prof. Dr. Onur Erol and moved to Istanbul in 1985. After serving in Şişli for 11 years, ONEP relocated its center to a new, independent building to facilitate outpatient surgeries and same-day discharge. As a fully equipped “Outpatient Treatment Center,” ONEP Private Medical Center was established in Levent in 1996 with a group of plastic surgeons. The clinic, which includes a 1200 square meter workspace, features two operating rooms and four recovery units.
ONEP Private Medical Center has provided post-specialization training to 33 plastic surgeons for periods ranging from six to twelve months. This approach continues, with two specialists being trained in each cycle. Since 1981, the ONEP team has assisted children with plastic surgery defects such as cleft palate and lip, and prominent ears, from financially disadvantaged backgrounds in Turkey. In 2003, to reach more children, they established the Foundation for Assisting Patients with Plastic Surgery Defects and Developing Plastic Surgery.
