Prof. Dr. Onur Erol, who successfully represents our country with his work in the field of Plastic Surgery, was recently appointed as the President of the Rhinoplasty Society, comprised of distinguished plastic surgeons in America and Europe. His method, known as Turkish Delight (Türk Lokumu) in medical literature, and his academic publications in this field were influential in this selection.
You have had many famous patients, with Deniz Akkaya being the most talked about. What do you think is the reason for this?
It is entirely media-related. I do not make statements about any famous patient unless the media discovers them. When Ms. Deniz had her nose surgery (which again used the Turkish Delight technique), no one realized it for 3 years. Later, the topic came to the agenda due to journalists finding her old images.
